The Modena province is known for the production
of the traditional Lambrusco. Since 1970 its prestigious grape varietals have the
Appellation d'Origine Controlée (DOC)
This wine is obtained from the famous grapes of the homonymous vine, cultivated in the
northern part of Modena, close to the rivers Secchia and Panaro which surround the city.
The "Sorbara", thanks to its very fine characteristics, it is the most popular
among the various types of Lambrusco.
The wine, of a clear ruby colour , shows a pleasant balance in its body and a rosé froth
given by the long natural fermentation.
Particularly suitable with pastas, boiled meat and cheeses.
Serve at cellar temperature (10° - 12° C).
